Movie Review
When a superb producer with good thoughts in film making arrives on the film scene deviating from original business the utmost responsibility in taking care of the producer lays on the shoulders of the director. Next the artists and other technicians contribute to the humble producer returns. In the case of 'Shivamani' the first time director S.K.Amaranath has concentrated on the first half brilliantly but fails to hold the attention in the second half. The artists and other technicians have contributed very well. A simple justification for the strength and muscle power of the hero is not shown in the film. Banishing 20 people around should be justified with at least one scene in the film. It is not enough the protagonist is given the Action Star even before the release of the film.
The majority of first time director is over confident. They do not make precise and apt script and screenplay. Convincing the producer by director is not enough today. What the producer should do today keeping in view the losses of tomorrow is that he should enhance the narrated script taking opinion from cross section of people including the media. It is only the print media today that watches all the releases in the year.
This is the lost and found after 22 years case of 'Shivamani'. In the midnight the baby crawling with fast asleep parents at a bus station reaches the hands of Subbanna (Avinash). As Subbanna picks the baby he misses the sharp edge weapon directed at his head. He runs away with the child and considers it as the life saver. Shiva (Srimurali) has a sacred 'Mani' tied to his neck by his parents and that is the only identifying element now after 22 years when he comes to study his second year computer science to Bangalore.
Shiva has extremely good muscle power and brainy in his approach. He can put down 20 plus around him. Very aggressive and admirable for his college students Shiva is liked by Preethi (Sharmila Mandre). All is not good for Shiva in college campus and even outside too. Shiva with strict instructions from his father Subbanna finds it tough to live bogging down the head. Wherever injustice is there Shiva is there to set it right. Residing in Bangalore Shiva take on big dons and finds his parents after a long time.
Srimurali in this action movie is capable. When it comes to dialogue delivery he is rigid. Sharmila Mandre needs to work hard on her physique before she is called Sharmila aunty. In the song Modha Madhala……she leaves such an impression. Avinash, Shobaraj, Ramesh Bhat, Vinayaprakash have rendered good support.
The title song and Modha Modhala….songs are well tuned by Veera Samarth. The cinematography by Srivenkat is adequate.
Scoring 6/10; Courtsey-Indiaglitz

Yem Maaya Chesavo Telugu Movie
Movie Name :Yem Maaya Chesavo
Movie Rating : U/A
Casting : Naga chaitanya and Samantha
Music : A.R.Rahman
Lyrics : Anantha Sriram
Director : Gowtham Menon
Producer :: Manjula and Sanjay Swarup
Banner :: Indira Productions
Story Line :
A touching love story, the story begins with Karthik (Naga chaitanya) who is an aspiring director and when he applied to the college, he was on his efforts. His life changed when he saw Jesse (Samantha), the daughter of his owner. He is smitten by her and from then on, he begins to woo her. But then, not so Jesse moves to encourage not as she is a staunch Kerala Christian family, and moreover, she is older than Karthik. Karthik, but determined and not give up. At one point, she reveals her true feelings and just when things Karthik everything is in order, his life takes a turn. What is it turn? How will he handle it? all this forms the rest of the story
Presentataion :
The director has come up with a thoughtful romantic story and he has excelled in both his presentation and narration. The dialogues were simple but deep, the script was fabulous and the screenplay was top notch. Background score was a bit disturbing at times but overall okay. Two songs were good but the picturisation of them was excellent. Full marks to cinematography and the way each angle and moment is captured. The single shot scenes were exemplary. Editing was crisp. Costumes were stylish and decent, art department was highly creative. Naga Chaitanya did a good job for his role but he must get a bit easy on the soft emotions like tears. Samantha has ruled the roost and she will simply capture the young hearts. Krishnudu brought in some smiles, the others were regular and contributed as required.
What’s good ?
Since the promotion for the movie had started and till I’ve seen it, the buzz was always that the new Gautham Menon film is in town. It was not the new Naga Chaitanya film or anything else. And even after the film’s over, the director reminds us again that his films belong to him the most than any of his stars.
Half of the soundtrack composed by the two time academy winner was perfect for the mood and the montage in particular was a perfect fit.
The Puri Jagannath, Gautham Menon, Shimbu and other well inserted cameos were refreshing. And also the film in a film concept being put to good use.
What could have been better.
Gautham Menon could have explored a new genre of song making.
The occasional drags in the film should have been taken care of.
Conclusion:
The feel of the film is quite realistic and it is without doubt that eight out of ten people will relate to it. This is a journey of nostalgia and tender emotions and no exaggerations in saying that couple of scenes wrenched the heart. While the first half is more on the entertaining and lighter emotions side, the second half is serious and emotional but it is here that the film scores the best. The technical values and production values take the film to a new league and with few powerful scenes, the impact is much stronger. This is purely for the class and mature audience and it could be that a minimal percentage of masses may also connect with it. At the box office, this deserves a hit.

Geleya Kannada Movie
Cast: Prajwal Devaraj, Tarun, Keerat, Kishore, Rangayan Raghu, Paramesh, Yogi, Bullet Prakash
Music: Mano Murthy
Geleya Movie ReviewGeleya is a technically polished film, which has based its story of two young friends from a village who accidentally enter the Bangalore Underworld and then become active as dons. Though it is a well-made film with good technical values and some good performances, the story idea is itself regressive. What sort of message you are sending to the society by telling the story of two innocent villagers turning into dreaded criminals of underworld. And these two teenaged youngsters become dons within a short time that too by taking weapons and killing many people.
Though Geleya is a well-made film in commercial standards, it should be said that the neither the director nor the producers of the film have thought of the social consequences of making such gangster films. And both the lead artists Prajwal and Tarun look like the kids who have just passed out from their schools.
Director Harsha who has directed a film for the first time has been the most successful as a choreographer of films. He could have chosen a music and dance based story for his film. But he has preferred a gangster story instead. And he has followed a narration, which does not have an iota of softness.
Vishwa and Guru are two friends from a village. Vishwa is in love with Nandini and Guru supports their love. One incident makes them to move out of the village and come to Bangalore where they accidentally become carriers for two underworld groups. Guru hatches a plan and both the friends take part in a fake killing accident, which takes them closer to the chief dons of the two rival groups. Despite being members of the two rival groups, the friends are meeting and talking to each other. Vishwa gets married to Nandu with the blessings of the Chief of his group. Later Guru kills the chief of Vishwa's group. Circumstances force Vishwa to occupy the top position in his group. Later he kills the chief of his rival group. Then both Guru and Vishwa head their respective gangs and become sworn enemies. Then the Police Chief decides to engage a top police cop to take care of these gangs. He is given full freedom and both Guru and Vishwa are made to run for cover. What happens later is better to be watched in the film.
Prajwal Devaraj and Tarun are too young artists to perform the type of roles.

Gulama Kannada Movie
Cast & Crew:
Cast: Prajwal Devaraj, Biyanka, Sonu, Rangayana Raghu, Avinash,
Sudha Belawadi
Director, Screenplay & Story Writer: Tushar Ranganath
Producer: Ramu
Lyrics: Tushar Ranganath, Kaviraj
Cinematography: K M Vishnuvardhan
Editing: Deepu R Kumar
“Gulama” is the directorial debut of young Tushar Ranganath, who has written the scripts and dialogues for many Kannada films earlier. Also, since it is this year’s first release, specially being a much publicised film by top producer Ramu, audiences had certain expectations from “Gulama”.
But the film has a weak narration. Ranganath has tried to portray the film as realistically as possible, but he hasn’t been able to make an impact as far as its emotional content is concerned.
Ranganath’s core strength always lay in writing dialogues. The dialogues in “Gulama” are crisp and hard hitting, but they lack freshness.
Most of the characters in “Gulama” look real. The typical representatives of the lower middle class households are seen in this film, which is essentially a triangular love story in the backdrop of Bangalore’s underworld.
On the positive side, the dialogues are natural and bring the different characters and their backgrounds alive on screen. Ranganath knows the diction and peculiarity of Bangalore-based gangsters and he uses this effectively in many sequences.
But he fails to do justice to the movie’s emotional content. Even the climax sequences, which are high on emotional quotient, fall flat because of an insipid narration.
The story revolves around Anil, who is the son of a police driver. His neighbour Divya loves him, but Anil is drawn towards the beautiful Priyanka, who wants to make it big in the glamour world. Anil does not reveal his feelings to Priyanka, but confides in Divya instead.
The plot takes a turn when Anil comes in contact with members of Mafi Gowda’s gang, which attacks his father. An enraged Anil decides to join hands with Gowda’s rivals to eliminate him. He then becomes a target not only for Gowda’s gang members, but also the police.
Despite being hunted by the police and gangsters, Anil does everything to please Priyanka and even arranges for money to finance her trip to Mumbai. Finally, Priyanka comes from Mumbai and plead with Anil to marry Divya, who loves him deeply.
It is a good role for Prajwal Devaraj, but he excels only in the fight and dance sequences. He is found wanting in the emotional scenes. The Mumbai-based model looks glamorous, but has few opportunities to show her acting skills. Sonu too has to pick up the threads of acting. Rangayana Raghu impresses in a brief yet different role.
Surprisingly, music director Guru Kiran’s tunes are just average. However, cameraman Vishnuvardhan deserves appreciation for his work.
“Gulama” ends up as an ordinary film despite its sparkling dialogues.
